Yesterday Chase sent out a survey about an upcoming promotion for a hotel card, basically the promotion is offering a free night at a category 1-4 property after you spend $15,000 within your first account year. In total you will be able to earn up to three nights (one night at $15,000, two nights at $30,000 and three nights at $45,000) and the survey was really about comparing creatives than the deal itself. From what I’ve heard internally this promotion is definitely going ahead, I don’t know the specific card it will be offered on but I’ll be shocked if it’s not the Marriott card. I’d expect this offer to launch alongside the launch of the Marriott no annual fee card sometime in Q2.
The offer itself isn’t really useful, you need to spend $15,000 for a highly restrictive free night certificate and the earning rates on all of the Chase co-branded hotel cards aren’t very strong. In addition to the promotion will only apply to people in their first year. The survey was also gauging how familiar respondents are with ‘The Points Guy”, in my opinion this is yet another indication it’s a Marriott promotion given all the positive press TPG has been giving Marriott as of late.
As another commenter, I’ll stick with Hilton and Hyatt, occasionally IHG too for my hotels.
Hilton + Hyatt > anything Marriott ever will do.
Still better than the Marriott free Cat 1-4 free night with $60k spending. That is an insult.
Just a copy of one of the Amex Hiltons with a third spending tier.
TPG is a prodtitute.
sssssure is
Btw with US Bank Radison rewards business you get 1 free night for every 10K spend up to 3x yearly plus 5 points per $1 on everything and just a $60 AF which gives you 40K annualy.
(Lots of decent Country Inn and Suits for just 15K night).
I heard there was a Radisson in Europe somewhere.
*applause*
How’s US Bank with MSing on that card?
They admire it..!
They doubled my credit line after putting some heavy spend on.
5/24 will apply as usual 🥴
This is the same spending threshold and categories as the Hyatt card.
In this case we need to check TPG’s knees.
Hooray for violence!
Hooray for not understanding the joke!
Hold on, now. Why can’t we understand the joke as well as cheer for violence?
Think outside the box!
I quit reading TPG about two years ago. What does your comment mean?
Sucking marriott dick, spending so much time on his knees
This type of comment isn’t appropriate.
