Sweet deal. You can even book speculatively since cancellations get all your points back. And if you already have a booking you might be able to save by cancelling, getting back the points, and rebooking with the promo code discount.

20% discount on points doesn’t really seem like much of a bargain considering the price has nearly doubled from a year ago. I guess it’s better than nothing if you have points that you’re wanting to use before they get devalued.
Seriously. I’m shocked at how expensive their flights seem to have gotten over the past 6 months, even late in their current calendar and midweek flights… They’re definitely cashing in on all the pent up demand for travel.

For my desired dates/destination it is available, but even after discount it’s way more (in terms of points/miles) than AA (29k miles RT) and Delta (A29k and 33k RTs) vs southwest 45k points

don’t be like me and jump on this cancelling an existing reservation before realizing the dates aren’t included and then have to immediately rebook for an extra 2k RR
