Originally posted on September 20th, 2017. Reposting on November 20th, 2017 because they have made some changes:
- You’ll now receive a gift card of $25-$50 (previously $15)
- They have now added minimum spend requirements. Previously you just need to order an entree.
For those that were just getting entrees for the gift cards, the deal is now significantly worse. For those that would have met the minimum spend requirements anyway the deal is now better with the average reward being doubled to $30. I’ve updated our review below to reflect these changes. Seated is an app that gives you a $25-$50 reward credit (Uber, Starbucks or Amazon) every time you eat at a participating restaurant. In addition they will also donate one meal per reservation to ShareTheMeal. The average gift card seems to be $30.

At the moment Seated is available in the following cities: New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Atlanta
Referral Program
They also offer a referral program. If you use a referral code you’ll receive a $5 bonus when you sign up, in addition the person who referred you will also receive a $5 $10 bonus as an Amazon gift card. Feel free to share your codes in the comments below, but you must post a useful comment sharing your experiences with the app (any tricks or useful things to know are appreciated by readers and makes it more likely they will use your code).
New users input the referral code to get the $5 credit by going to the Settings gear on the top right, then tap “Enter Seated Promo Code”, then enter the code there.

Our Verdict
Seems like most of the restaurants are higher end, so doesn’t really seem to make sense to go out of your way for any of them Others disagree with this statement, just download the app and decide for yourself. That being said if you live in one of the participating cities I do think it’s worth signing up for and checking if a restaurant you plan to visit is participating or not.
