The terms seem to allow for any ExpressVPN membership plan, and that’s how it worked with all prior deals successfully. The most expensive one is the VPN for plan for 2 years + 4 months. The Basic, Advanced, or Pro tier plans should all work to get 150% cashback, and they’ve worked perfectly in the past. (Toggle/scroll top find the Pro plan.)
The Pro plan costs ~$210 and has no sales tax. You should get back ~$315 from ShopBack for a ~$105 moneymaker. Plus some credit card points – use Chase Freedom on Paypal for 5x.
Our Verdict
ExpressVPN is a popular VPN service and so this is a good chance to try them out. I bought the most expensive plan which is VIP for 28 months and the cost was $209.72 without any sales tax. My purchase tracked in less than an hour and I got an email from ShopBack with the pending cashback details showing properly.
You should get back around $315 from ShopBack which amounts to $105 moneymaker. Plus some credit card points – use Paypal and pay with Chase Freedom to get 5x which will be another bonus 1,050 Ultimate Rewards points.
I did this deal back when it was 120% and a $42 moneymaker so I won’t be able to do this current deal which is much better. It’s only valid for new customers, but you can tell your spouse/friends/etc about it and help them sign up.
ExpressVPN has a 30 day money back guarantee. If the portal tracks, then you’ll keep the service for the 28 months. If there’s some issue with the portal tracking, you can simply cancel the service within 30 days and there’s no loss. Make a note to cancel before the 28 months is over, if you don’t want to pay the next subscription fee. You can also turn off auto-renew and decide later whether to renew.
The only real ‘risk’ with this deal is if the portal does track, yet somehow ends up not paying out (payout won’t occur until around 90-100 days). I considered that a minimal risk, and so I got in on this deal for the $42 moneymaker and had no issues with the portal tracking automatically and the payout coming three months later automatically. YMMV.
You can also try out the VPN service if needed, ExpressVPN is one of the popular ones out there. Let us know in the comments how ExpressVPN compares with the others. You don’t have to actually download the VPN in order for the portal to track since the portal payout is for the membership purchase. (I haven’t yet downloaded mine from the deal a few months ago.)
