The Offer
- SiriusXM is offering the Music & Entertainment Plan for $2.99 per month for up to 36 months
Our Verdict
This enrolls you in auto billing so remember to cancel when you no longer want it. You might be able to cancel your existing plan and sign up for this as well. I don’t find SiriusXM worth paying for so easy skip for me.
I just had this added. At first the agent didn’t want to, saying that it was only email specific. I said that I couldn’t find it. Then asked do I remember what it said. I said that it said “Give so and so this plan.” Said that he had to send the info to the team in the back – WHATEVER (if there is such a thing). The next thing I knew we were going over the terms.
I originally let him know that I’ve been subscribing to them for too long and that I’m not paying $40/mo. Worse is that my cc had been renewed and they kept calling saying that I owed them. The next thing I knew, I was being billed anyway. They didn’t even have my new card info. Not happy with that. I would like to know how that was possible.
I cancelled my original subscription before I called. My new plan will begin 3/9. So overall, I would like to thank Doctor of Credit for this post.
I don’t know where best to put this, but I have an active trial of SiriusXM (streaming only), cancelled it, and still have another 3 weeks of usage.
Having been in ‘hard to cancel hell’ with them previously, I will comment that it was easy to cancel, this time, in my last month of the trial, and they are saying that it is active until the trial ends (another 3 weeks). It was all just click and decline the multiple retention offers. No need to chat or call.
I got the $2.99/36 mo rate for my 2019 Honda and $5.99/12 mo for a 2014. I mentioned the code MCP299FOR36SELECT but unsure if that worked any magic or not. The new rates begin with my expiration in Jan 2025.
Chat bot rep would only go as low as 6.99 per month (first offer was 8.99 per mo) for a 2015 radio, but I let it renew 1 day before the chat at the going rate of 23$ which may have had something to do with it.
The lowest they can go is $5/m. I try to get the $3/m for 3 years but that is not for a former subscriber.
Call and get it done. They’ll do it. If asked if you received an email, just say yes but you can’t find it. They may ask the name of the plan (above). Say that you have been a subscriber way too long if they continue to give them a problem.
SiriusXM would prefer to to make money rather than lose customers. They just want to see if you’ll give in.
A hungry mouth can’t get fed if you don’t open it!
Worked. Thanks so much
Can’t believe it worked for me! I used code MCP299FOR36SELECT supplied by PB in this chat. Background: 2016 Honda, I let my subscription lapse 5 months ago when they wouldn’t budge on price. I keep getting emails for $5/month. I just chatted with them and it went smoothly. Pay once for 3 years- works for me!
Do you have to pay all at once or just the monthly $2.99?
Thanks. Just got it transferred to that rate from $7 per month on a 2012. Chatrep said it was for targeted emails but after I insisted on canceling the supervisor allegedly allowed it as a “courtesy “.
Just confirmed in chatting with a CSR, this promo is only good for 2015 and older cars.
My 2015 Acura wasn’t eligible on the website. So it likely isn’t a universal discount based solely on age.
With how badly their stock is performing I wonder if they’ll even be around in three years.
Warren Buffett just invested in Sirius.
The reason that I said to Coco that they can’t afford to lose customers now.
