- Giftcards are valid for 18 months instead of the usual 12 months
Our Verdict
Belmond is also offering a 20% bonus. Marriott is offering a 20% discount. One concern (other than bankruptcy) with purchasing these gift cards is hotels that you’re interested in leaving the chain. SLH has a partnership with Hyatt, but you won’t be able to use these on Hyatt hotels unless it is a SLH hotel. Personally at a 20% bonus I’m not a buyer of these gift cards, although a 20% discount from Hyatt itself would be tempting.

The question being would be do you still earn WOH credit when paying with these? I know you earn credit when paying with a Hyatt Gift Card, but would you earn points and everything at an SLH property when paying with a SLH GC.
you should earn the base points for your stay as long as you book through hyatt. it would be treated like if you paid cash at the front desk.
