Some Bilt Updates

A few changes and updates in the Bilt 2.0 system:

1. On Bilt authorized user cards, you can now choose whether your points and Bilt Cash earned go to the primary cardholder or the authorized user. Previously it always went to the primary cardholder, and they’re now giving the option to choose. That can be helpful for a couple to strategically have points/Cash go into the Bilt member with higher status for the purpose of transfer bonuses. (Remember the $50-$95 fees on authorized user cards.)
   • “Primary Cardholders can select whether Bilt Points and Bilt Cash earned in connection with Purchases made by Authorized Users will be credited to the Primary Cardholder’s Rewards Account or to the Authorized User’s Rewards Account…“
2. Bilt added a clause in the terms which allows them to reverse the annual hotel credits ($50-$200) if you close the account within 90 days. Unknown if they’ll actually implement this, but it does create some uneasiness. 
   • “We may reverse credits if a Qualifying Booking is canceled, or modified or if you close your Account within 90 days of receiving a credit.”
3. A reader says they’re seeing Bilt Cash renamed to Bilt Credits. Let us know if you see that too.
