Our Verdict
When uploading to the app you need to take pictures of the front and back of the cards and then enter the PIN code. Obviously you’ll want to make sure to hide that information when uploading the picture of you and your gift cards otherwise people will be able to steal your balance. This promotion will end up with people having their balance stolen. I also don’t really understand how this helps with the plastic program, these plastic gift cards already exist and uploading them Swych doesn’t make that problem go away? I guess Swych are saying they are a better alternative for purchasing gift cards going forward. I think this is a poorly thought out promotion. Personally there is no way I can be bothered entering gift card information for $0.5 or a discount so I’ll be giving this one a big miss.
