The Offer
No direct link to offer, e-mail subject line is ‘Small Business owners – We’d like your feedback’
- American Express is offering a $20 credit to some Blue Business Plus cardholders that complete a short 10 minute survey
The Fine Print
- If you select full time employment you’ll fail and be ineligible to receive the gift card
Our Verdict
Looks like they are considering changes to the Blue Business Plus card. Looks like they are considering adding an annual fee and offering benefits such as TSA, another option was bonus points for reaching a spend requirement each month. Feel free to share more of the questions in the comments below. Survey itself is an easy $20.
Hat tip to reader DDP
This is dead. I didn’t bother to click the survey link until sometime yesterday, but when I finally got around to it, all I got was this message:
“Thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey invitation. However, this survey was open until we received a sufficient number of responses for analysis and is now closed. We look forward to your participation in future surveys and your interest in providing American Express with your feedback.”
This is NOT JUST for Blue Business Plus cardholders. I got a survey just like this as holder of the older Blue for Business card. Unfortunately because it didn’t like my first answer (“business owner” AND “employed PART time”) it didn’t let me continue, so I can’t tell you what the questions would have been for a different (and no longer possible to apply-for) Amex business card.
Yeah probably for a business survey you want to select that you own a business :’) FYI to those!
RAT trap for non-business owners? 😉
Said they would mail a check, not a credit.
Also failed to qualify selecting part-time employment.
Anyhow, an AF would be such a nerf for this card. It would guarantee I cancel it and put all my non-category spend on my CIU.
On the question that asks if you’re fully employed, they actually let you select multiple options. So you can select fully employed and business owner and that seems to make you eligible.
strongly opposed the 95 AF + TSA option in my survey. There are some favorable changes like extra 500 points for more than $2500 spending every month. “mobile business to business payment” whatever that is.
They also mentioned adding:
1. Working capital loans
2. The ability to use your credit limit as a credit card and then go over your limit as a charge card.
3. 500 extra points for every $2500 spend
The rest of the extras they were pitching seemed redundant or worthless.
I got targeted but scared of finishing it and so I didn’t do it lol.
