P2 got targetted on personal plat to add members for 20k points with 2k spend. But dumb $195 fee not waived. Dunno if I should get ready to quit the platinum in August after holding for 3 years, then join P2s plat.
There’s an option for the no fee card.
the option stated no bonus points though. also it does not give you centurion lounge access i believe.
Here’s the statement: You can also add a Companion Platinum Card for no annual fee but you will not be eligible to earn a Membership Rewards® points bonus for purchases made with a Companion Platinum Card.
My reading is you as the companion card holder cannot spend $2K to earn the bonus (key word). P2 would have to spend the $2K. Now if you are thinking of giving up your card, then $195 might be worth it. IMO if you guys travel somewhat and like to stay in at least one Fine hotel a year plus other benefits, I find the personal card worth it. It’s the business version I keep struggling with.
I can see the first landing page, but when I click through to actually add a specific person/employee card, I don’t see anything in the T&C’s that mention the points bonus. Is this everyone or just me?

I’ve had this on my personal Gold as well. I wish it was at least 10k – 20k points to make the $2k spend worth it.
20k spend used to be for $4-5k spend, not $2k.
Back when I had the personal Platinum for about 2 yrs, I used multiple offers to receive 20k points for $2k spend by authorized users. Not sure if the personal Gold ever had that exact offer. All I see rn is 5k points for 2k spend.
Worked for P2’s BBP while in SUB period. Nice double-dip.
Does the free “Employee Business Expense” card qualify?

After you click on the button to add the employee cards, the next page will allow you to select which card to add it/them to. That page loading means you’re targeted.
