[Targeted] Capital One Spark Business $1,000 Sign Up Bonus After $10,000 In Spend

The Offer

No direct link to offer. Sent out via snail mail

  • Capital One is offering a sign up bonus of up to $1,000 on the Capital One Spark Business card. Spend requirement is $10,000 within 90 days

Card Details

  • Card earns 2%/2x on all purchases
  • Annual fee of $95 is waived first year
  • No foreign transaction fees

Our Verdict

Earlier this year we saw an offer for up to $2,000, but that required $50,000 in total spend. If you can meet a massive spend requirement like that then that bonus would be better, as this card actually earns 2% on all purchases as well so a good option as a daily driver. That being said most people won’t be able to meet a minimum spend requirement that large, so this bonus would be attractive from that perspective.

Capital One business cards also report on your personal credit reports, which is important for anybody worrying about Chase’s 5/24 rule. They also pull all three credit bureaus. I won’t be adding this to the best credit card page as this is a targeted offer.

Does Capital One tend to match offers? I just got a Capital One Spark Business card a week ago and would much prefer this offer….

Would anyone know how soon one can apply to cap1 after cancelling a card to get under the 2 card limit? Is it safe to apply right away after cancelling my 2nd card?

What is the 2 card limit? I used to have 3 personal cards with them at the same time. Is it for business cards only?

I think it’s a soft limit but on reading again it seems that maybe biz cards dont count.

I got in on the 2k/50k offer but couldn’t meet MSR because they gave a tiny 5k limit. 🙁 Even processing payment takes 3 days to clear the credit.

Did you call to request a credit increase?

Yeah they said standard is to wait 3 months I waited and only a $500 bump. I didn’t wanna keep maxing and waiting the 3 days to process payment and all that over and over 10x. That’s 30 days alone of waiting for processing not to mention it takes 2 days to post the transaction before you can make a payment.

Capital One only allows overpaying by 10% over the current balance on its site or through its ATM. Of course one could overpay via Bill Pay from another bank.

Here’s to hoping it was “Targeted” like last year. Cheers!
