[Targeted] Citi Sears Up to 15% (Grocery, Gas & Restaurant Purchases) Back In SYWR Points

We often see targeted spending bonuses on the Citi Sears cards, usually on the cards that earn Citi ThankYou points or cash back. Reader Steve F just received an offer on a Shop Your Way Rewards earning card for the following:

  • 13% back in points on eligible grocery store purchases (up to $100 in total extra points). Valid until November 13th, 2017
  • 15% back in points on eligible gas station purchases (up to $100 in total extra points). Valid until November 13th, 2017
  • 13% back in points on eligible restaurant store purchases (up to $100 in total extra points). Valid until November 13th, 2017

This cards targeted spending bonuses are absolutely insane, the above offers look like a very easy $300 in Shop Your Way points. It’s why this is ranked as the top store credit card. The question is really how long will sears survive and what will happen to cardholders if they fail? I’d be using any SYWR points sooner rather than later as well.

Check this out. My wife has this card and we received the following offer by email….
25% on Gas
23% on Grocery
23% on Restaurants
Now the Rub…… I log into the account, and there is a bar at the top saying the account is closed (I’m sure due to inactivity). What the heck! You send us a sweet offer for a closed account??!!!! Die already Sears!

How do we check if we’re targeted? Email or SYWR account?

I had an email. I’m not sure if you can check on the shopyourway site.
