Possibly not. The T&C says “in addition to your standard Discover rewards.” 5% categories are explicitly defined as “bonus rewards.” I had enough trouble getting them to pay the last such promo on top of the standard 1% (see my DP post down the page).

That’s a nice offer! I already get 6% at Amazon with the Chase Amazon Prime card and I select the delayed delivery dates.
The drought is finally over. It’s been ages since I got any offer from them. Seems it’s same for many of us.

I actually received the exact same offer this week from my bankrupt Discover bank soon a Capital One entity, but won’t bother activating it in my Amazon wallet just because of the one % difference compared to Chase 5% category this quarter, Almost all my shopping in Amazon is paid by Gift Cards anyways ,

These are the kinds of deals I lived for as a poor college kid. Now I’m most interested in Amex transfer bonuses to fly F and J internationally. Different deals are more important to people in different situations.
At the end of the day, money is money…. doesn’t matter how how much you saved.
