The Offer

  • eBay has sent out a targeted promotion where you can earn up to eBay bucks:

    • 3x eBay bucks on items $50+
    • 4x eBay bucks on items $100+

ebay bucks

The Fine Print

  • Valid from September 22nd, 8AM to September 23rd, 11:59PM PT
  • Targeted offer, must receive the e-mail and activate it first
  • 4x Ebay Bucks is equivalent to 8% back in Ebay Credit, which to some is as good as cash.
  • Ebay Bucks are NOT earned on Ebay Branded Gift Cards

Our Verdict

I love these eBay bucks deals, because it’s super easy to make money from them. You’ll end up getting a discount of at least 18% on whatever you purchase. For example: 8% back in eBay credit from the eBay bucks deal and then add in another 5% back when you purchase your eBay gift cards at a deep discount and a further 5% back when you use a portal (or 3x Southwest miles or 4x United miles) you’re already at 18% back. If you can find gift cards with a resell rate of 90%+ you’re making at least 8% profit.

Yes fire up a new account. Buying or selling is not the trigger. New account is. As soon as I opened my new account guess what. Now I get ebay bucks offer on the new account finally. They never gave my other account any love and yes I was signed up for promotional offers.

I have the same question as Justin above. Seems like I never land promos.
I do have a 10+ year old account. Perhaps firing up a new one might do the trick for purchasing.
Anybody have any data/testing on this?

How might I increase my chances of being targeted? I have received one ebay bucks offer in the past 6+ months.

They also have Lowe’s $100 for $90, but personally I don’t care. Too bad the Target ones went out so fast yesterday.

I’ll take Lowe’s over Target any day! Just snagged two of ’em. Those go so fast, I almost always miss them.

I also maxed out my eBay bucks with that purchase. I was due $14.40 with the $180 purchase, and had $14.37 left until I hit my $500 max. It’s dumb, but I gotta admit it: That felt good! 🙂

Does the fine print on yours say item cost must be 50/100/150?
It does on mine – Extra eBay Bucks can only be earned on every single item purchased that meets the minimum purchase requirement specified in the offer. – so, sub 50 GCs are ineligible

Even after stacking all the deals it doesn’t seem like the spafinder is worth buying/reselling.

I got a different, but equally compelling offer: 15% off purchases over $100, up to $100 off. I bought $660 in ebay gift cards for $561.

What was the code? That might be repeatable. There were a few deals like that recently.
