[Targeted] eBay/Paypal Credit Card: Get 500 Points with Every $50 Spent up to 4,000 Points

The Offer

Many eBay/Paypal credit cardholders are getting the following targeted spend offer:

  • Get 500 points with every $50 you spend through November 30, 2017; max 4,000 bonus points

The Fine Print

  • Must activate first; activate by November 30, 2017
  • Offer valid through November 30, 2017
  • Purchases must post by December 7, 2017
  • Please allow up to 2 billing cycles for your Reward Points to post to your eBay Extras Mastercard account
  • Max 4,000 Bonus Reward Points

Our Verdict

Remember, 500 points is worth like $4.15 when cashed out (6/5 ratio), so this isn’t quite 10% back. Maxed out, you’ll get 4,400 points (4k bonus + 400 base) which is roughly a 9% return on spend. You can try doing a bunch of $50 restaurant or gas purchases since those always get 3x rewards which is pretty good. Personally, I’ll pay $400 to my insurance premium.

As far as I can tell, there’s no need to do eight $50 purchases, you can do a single $400 purchase and get the full 4,000 bonus points. I might do eight separate $50 transactions to be sure.

I’m curious if the new Paypal Cashback 2% Mastercard is also getting these targeted spend offers. The Paypal/eBay card is pretty good with these, they send out maybe 4 offers per year.

Wow, that is sweet!
