The Offer
Sent out via e-mail, unknown subject line
- Some PayPal Business debit card holders are being offered a ‘Choose your offer’. It seems these are instead of the standard 1% cash back.
The Fine Print
- Bonus cash back offer valid from September 5, 2019, through September 30, 2019.
- Valid only on a chip-enabled PayPal Business Debit Mastercard.
- The PayPal account must be in good standing through the reward deposit.
- Each merchant is issued a code by a third party that indicates the merchant’s area of business.
- Bonus cash back will only be awarded if the merchant code for the purchase matches a restaurant category (5812 or 5814).
- $20 bonus cash back will be earned at $500 in eligible purchases.
- Eligible purchases for bonus cash back include: credit transactions which you sign for and which are processed by Mastercard; online transactions processed by Mastercard; and phone transactions processed by Mastercard.
- Purchases that are not eligible for bonus cash back include, but are not limited to: purchases processed via a debit network (including PIN-less debit transactions), cash withdrawals, and cash advances.
- A maximum of $20 bonus cash back can be earned.
- Bonus cash back will be added to the PayPal account associated with the PayPal Business Debit Card that completed the eligible purchases within 30 days of campaign completion.
- PayPal reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify this promotion in part or in its entirety at any time without notice, for any reason at its sole discretion.
Our Verdict
Strange that it looks like two of the offers are just the standard 1% back.
Hat tip to @iam_K_Man
I got them on both of my business debit card. I chose $20 for $500 spending ( 4% cash back).
