It’s now possible to apply for the U.S. Bank State Farm cards. The cards are as follows:
- State Farm Premier Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card

- 3% cash back on insurance premium payments, up to $4,000 spent annually
- 2% cash back at gas stations, drugstores, grocery stores and on dining, including takeout and food delivery service purchases
- 1% cash back on all other purchases
- No annual fee
- Double cash back on all purchases on up to $300

- 1% cash back on all other purchases
- $100 annual software subscription credit
- Card earns:
The $100 annual software subscription credit is interesting on the business card, but that requires recurring payments for 11 months (e.g you’d need to be spending $100+ on software subscription for 11 month and then get $100 back in the 12th month). Otherwise the rest of the cards are boring.
Hat tip to Francisco
FWIW – I, as a long-time customer of SF – received a custom mailer for the state farm credit card offering me $150 for spending $500 within 90 days (along with the normal 3% cashback on insurance premium payments etc…)
When I logged into my State Farm account this week, I had the same offer: $150 bonus for spending $500 within 90 days. 3% cashback up to $4K in insurance premium payments. No annual fee.
The Business card also offers a 0% APR for 12 months. I pay for a monthly WebEx premium subscription for my business and it’d be nice to have the majority of those charges covered by this card at the end of the card year. I’d consider the card if it wasn’t for the $4K spending cap on the 3% cashback for insurance. It’s also interesting to me that you don’t need to be a State Farm customer to get these cards.
Would health insurance premiums count as 3%?
So State Farm has a credit card but Hyatt doesn’t have a Business card???
This time, State Farm will be there.
Just wait until they see you slap your US Bank State Farm Rewards card down on the bar top in the airport lounge! Instant attention from all.
Faaaarrrrm wisdom
Ink > fee-free VGCs > ins premiums. No need for this.
3% vs 2.625% on BofA prem rewards card is Meh.
The 3% isn’t that attractive when you consider you can get 3.81% if you max
out the 5% categories when buying $500 VISA gift card.
$505.95 x 3 = $75 rewards
$75 – 3 x $5.95 = $57.15 net rewards
$57.15 ÷ $1500 = 3.81%
You might have to do that with two or more credit cards depending on how much your insurance bill is.
I don’t think buying $500 gc is zero risk.
**Up to $300 cash back will be matched and added to your account after your one-year anniversary with the State Farm® Premier Cash Rewards Visa Signature® Card
No thanks for me. Not willing to wait a whole year just for 3oo bucks.
…I think here you need to do some math. I believe you’ll possibly still come to the same conclusion, as this is a bad card. But considering both your statement and the facts presented within I guess I won’t be venmo’ing you $300 4/13/22 and you won’t be caring.
IOW, it depends on the math. $300 is great to wait for, especially if the spend/opportunity cost is worth it.
