[Update: MNVO, Fios] Verizon Customers Get $20-$100 Credit Following Yesterday’s Outage

Update 1/20/26: Apparently some Verizon Fios customers are getting some credits. Also, it seems those on Verizon MVNOs also are getting a $5 credit (I’m not sure if they have to ask for it):

For customers using Visible, Straight Talk, Tracfone, GoSmart, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, Verizon Prepaid, Page Plus, Walmart Family Mobile, and Net10, we will apply a $5 credit to their next month’s bill when paying with a credit card online. Alternatively if the $5 isn’t automatically added as compensation then we can offer our customer an extra 5 days of service.

Update 1/16/26: Reposting again because readers have been getting up to $20. If they offer a $20 discount per month per line for 12 months, just remember that is a standard promotion/discount and not related to this outage.

Update 1/15/26: Multiple readers are reporting they were able to get a bigger credit by contacting chat. Highest I’ve seen is $50. $100

Original Post: Due to an outage yesterday (1/14/26), Verizon is offering $20 credit redeemable through the myVerizon app. A text will be received when the credit is available.

I believe this is for all Verizon Wireless customers.
