Visa SavingsEdge Now Has Activate Offers (Similar To AmEx Offers) – Includes 10% At Office Depot

Visa SavingsEdge is a rewards program for Visa business cards. Rewards are earned in addition to what you’d normally earn. The partners they offer have traditionally been a fixed cash back % that are available year round. They have just sent out an e-mail to members informing them of a new feature called ‘activate offers’, these are limited-time offers that you must activate in order to be eligible for savings. To view these simply click here. They have launched with the two following offers:

  • 10% back at Office Depot
    • Offer valid from 1/30/18–4/29/18
    • Offer valid for in-store and online purchases only.

    • Maximum reward earn of $100 per enrolled card.
    • Void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law.

It’s a shame that Office Depot is restricted to $5 back. I’m somewhat surprised they are managing this themselves as it seems they have offered the personal version as a back end system (e.g I think it runs both the Chase offers and Uber offers).

  • Tried purchasing on 2 other cards registered with the site, will report back if statement credit posts on these as well. Expect it to, but will be more patient this time!

  • Purchased $15 3rd party gc on 2/1, statement "adjustment" showed on my CIP with a posting date of 2/19. I'd given up!

  • I just tried to enroll a Wells Fargo Business Platinum card, but it was not accepted. I called VSE customer support and they informed me that Wells may not participate in the program. Any other data points on this?

    • I got it on Ink AU card, admittedly I haven't used the offer on the primary card yet. I anticipate it will work since they have different card numbers.

  • "Discount provided as a statement credit on a future account statement."
So if your statement when you did the eligible spend closed 1/31, you would get the credit applied on your next statement or a future statement with a greater than $0 balance? Do you get the credit applied even if you put back the card in the sock drawer, if the card is a sock drawer card (Marriott Business) or do you need to make a purchase for the statement where the credit will be applied?

    • Such generosity!

The Savingsedge program has been mostly useless unless you stay at a lot of those low-tier hotel chains that give discounts, but then you can probably do better with hotels.com or similar cashback sites.

The best deal I've found is B&H photo. They have better prices and faster shipping than Amazon on a lot of computers/audio/camera products and no other way to get cashback through portals.

    • Haha yup, I suspect they are even paying for that Office Depot offer to get people innterested.
