Delta Dining: you can use any card you’ve linked in the program, right? Doesn’t have to be a Delta card?

DP: Marriott point transfer still triggers the bonus. I initiated a transfer of 3000 Marriott points two days ago, and 2000 Delta miles were posted today.

Does this work for EACH dining partner/shopping partner? i.e., if I eat at 10 of the different dining partners do I get 1,000 miles for each partner or is it 1,000 miles for just the first dining partner?

I’ve been earning Delta miles already for a while with Lyft. But I still got 1000 miles for my very next Lyft ride after I enrolled for this. So it seems like it’s working even for existing links, contrary to what the terms say.

I got the offer to show up by going to the Delta site and logging in before clicking the direct link above. When I clicked the link before logging in, it wasn’t showing up, but doing the login first pulled up the offer.

New partner is defined as a partner you haven’t earned miles with from Jan 1, *2018*. So pretty difficult to get the maximum possible bonus if you had also enrolled for this promotion last year.

It says that I’m registered even though I did this before the end of 2018. It was an email promo that was worth 2500 miles using the very same concept except that you needed to only use 3 partners. I’m wondering if I can complete a few more this way being that it has no cap? I believe that I did the hotel, car rental and dining.

I got this email yesterday and although I had previously tied my Lyft and SkyMiles accounts, I tried to again and it said they were already linked or whatever. I thought I didn’t qualify for the bonus then a few hours later I actually used Lyft for $11 and was awarded the 1,000 bonus miles! And got 5 miles per dollar because of a Big Game ATL bonus?

Hopefully the let you keep that. On a previous, similar offer, Delta clawed back a 1,000 mile Lyft bonus because I’d already used Lyft x Delta before.

How this works? Book on Hertz website then email to Delta? How to claim your bonus miles?

No. All these partners have some way to use the partner to earn Delta miles currently. This offer is saying if you do that, you’ll get 1000 bonus miles on top of whatever Delta would normally give you for using the partner.

So you have to figure out how to set up your Hertz rental to earn Delta miles. It’s probably somewhere in your Hertz settings that you enter you SkyMiles number and say you want to earn Delta miles INSTEAD of Hertz points or credits (if it’s like other rental programs I’m more familiar with).

Then when you do the Hertz rental you get some number of Delta miles directly from the rental, and the 1000 bonus miles.

Probably add Delta as airline you want to earn miles with when booking a rental. I know Alamo allows that, although they charge around $3 when earning miles.
