$100 Off $100 on Orbitz, Going Live Soon (Limited Quantity)

Orbitz is having an amazing Cyber Monday offer. Hopefully, we’ll be able to catch it before the limited quantity is used up.

• Spend $100 or more on a hotel room booked on Orbitz.com and receive a $100 discount off the listed price when paying with Visa Checkout. Must enter promo code: VISACHECKOUT to get this discount.

It would be possible to get a free hotel room if you can find a room that costs exactly $100. More practically, you’ll find something slightly over $100 and you’ll pay the last few dollars.

This is a Cyber Monday deal, so it should go live at midnight on Sunday night November 30, and last until midnight Monday night. This won’t actually happen because there’s a limited quantity available, and it will be used up long before then.

This offer is not valid on all hotels; most major hotel chains are excluded. Only those which are “Promo Code Eligible” will be eligible. MTM gives us a tip that you can search now using a different code: TRAVELHAPPY, and whichever hotels are eligible for that code will be eligible for the Cyber Monday code.

Our Verdict

If we can get in on this offer, it’s definitely one of the best out there. I don’t travel much, but I happen to have one trip planned in a couple months from now. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get one booking free or close to free.

I already staked out the scene using MTM’s tip of entering a different promo code, and I found a couple hotels which would be perfect.

MillionMileSecrets says that the $100 total is after taxes, so if you find a ~$85 room, it will come out around $100  after taxes. I’m not sure how MMS knows this, so I staked out two options for myself, just in case. One option is a $106 room before taxes, and one is a $90 room before taxes. I may stay up until midnight tonight to see if I can get in on this deal as soon as it goes live, which will hopefully be midnight tonight (Sunday night).
