- Purchase $500 gift card with $5.95 fee using $2 off coupon (-$503.95)
- Receive 0.75% cash back (+$3.75) [Note: In the past people have reported actually getting $3.79 as it didn’t include the $2 discount from the coupon for some reason – a whole extra 4¢)
You end up paying $0.20 per $500 gift card, plus you’d earn whatever credit card rewards your card offers. There are two downsides to this deal:
