Our Verdict
The public link (and affiliate links) for Citi American Airlines cards dropped to 30,000 today. When this happens, usually links stick around for the higher offer. It’s also possible to ask Citi to match you to the 60,000 mile personal offer (you need to apply for the 50,000 mile offer first and then contact them asking them to match you to the personal offer), they will then credit you another 10,000 miles. The 60,000 targeted mile offer is due to expire on March 15th, 2016 so if you want to match then I’d recommend applying now.
I don’t know if Citi will eventually remove these 50,000 mile offers, they are almost always available so I doubt it but who knows.
