• Eligible items exclude Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate
• Requires Paypal payment; coupon can be used once per PayPal account within a single transaction

Our Verdict

eBay smartened up about allowing these coupons to work on gift cards by adding a filler item for free. They’ve now coded the coupon to take 20% off any non-gift card items. So while you can use gift cards to get you to the $50 threshold, you’ll still only get the 20% discount on non-gift card items.

For example, I bought a $200 Lowe’s gift card and $9.40 on two packages of Forever stamps, and the system only gave me a discount of $1.88 on the Forever stamps (20%).
