A settlement has been reached with Fidelity Investments/Brokerage in a class action lawsuit relating to an incident that occurred between August 17 and August 19, 2024, where a third party accessed and obtained certain information without authorization on Fidelity’s computer network.
Who Is Eligible?
If eligible, you’ll get an email with a PIN and login details which are needed to file the claim.
How Much?
Payment is expected to be $100, but may be larger or smaller depending on the total claims filed. Total settlement is $2.5M.
Important Dates
- Breach occurred between August 17, 2024 and August 19, 2024
- Final Approval Hearing is July 9, 2026
- Claim must be submitted July 27, 2026
Our Verdict
Probably not too many people are eligible, but if you do get notice this one sounds like there should be a substantial payout (~$100), if estimates prove correct.
