The Offer
Receive a transfer bonus of 20% when you transfer your loyalty points from one of the participating partners to Etihad Guest Miles by October 30th, 2016. Below are a list of the transfer partners participating and their standard transfer rates:

- American Express: 1:1
- Citibank: 1:1
- Hilton HHonors: 10:1
- Hyatt Gold Passport: 2.5: 1
- IHG: 5:1
- Marriott Rewards: 10,000:1,500
- Club Carlson: 10:1
- Shangri-La Golden Circle: 1:1
- SPG: 1:1
The Fine Print
- The offer is valid for all Points to Miles conversions made between 1 October and 31 October 2016 both days inclusive.
- All participating points conversion partners: Accor Hotels, ADCB, Radisson Blu, Citibank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Heathrow Rewards, Hilton Honors, AMEX US & KSA*, Hyatt, IHG, Joyalukkas, Marriott Rewards, NBAD, Shangri-La, Starwood StarPoints and Boubyan Bank.
- Non participation points conversion partners: American Express Membership Rewards (All regions except AMEX US & KSA*), Etisalat Rewards, and Flybuys Rewards are excluded from this promotion.
- This offer cannot be clubbed with any other conversion offer
Our Verdict
Usually Etihad offers a 25% transfer bonus (last time it excluded SPG, but time before that it didn’t) when they do offer a transfer bonus so this isn’t as good as previous promotions, but obviously this one does include SPG. I assume you’d also get the additional 5,000 miles if you transferred 20,000 or more SPG points, but it does say it cannot be clubbed with any other conversion offer so that might not be the case.
It only really makes sense to transfer Citi, SPG or American Express points as the transfer rates for the other partners are not great at all.
