Our Verdict
Citi/Etihad have offered a 25% bonus once before, but the details of that bonus were changed mid promotion to only included UAE cardholders (although people that transferred before the change still received the bonus). I think Citi is the only partner that this transfer bonus might make sense for as the regular transfer rate is 1:1, so you’d be getting 1:1.25 with this promo – while the other regular transfer rates for hotel partners and the like really suck.
I’m not the biggest fan of Etihad miles, especially with their big devaluation but I know some people still like the program so it could make some sense for them to transfer points with this bonus.
