[Expired] Free Pretzel From Auntie Anne’s (Download App by 04/26)

Update 4/17/23: Deal is back for 2023.

The Offer

  • In celebration of national Pretzel Day (Wednesday April 26th) AuntieAnne’s is giving users of the  “My Pretzel Perks” app their choice of a free Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel. Valid until April 30th.

The Fine Print

  • In order to receive the free pretzel, guests must download the “My Pretzels Perks” app – available for free in Apple’s App Store and Android’s Google Play Store – before 11:59 p.m. EST on April 26

Our Verdict

Obviously not worth driving 30 minutes for, but if you have a store near you or you go past one then it’s a free Pretzel. You can find the closest location to you here.

Downloaded the app and made my account yesterday, but today it’s only showing an offer for a buy pretzel dogs, get a free pretzel that expires on the 30th. Guess you had to get it same day. Oh well

Lucked out. Got the last hot pretzel (also bought some pretzel dogs). The family after me had 8 people all redeeming too and they had to wait for them to make more lol

Could be their appetizer before going to that family restaurant down the road where “kids eat free”.

Easy. A nearby mall near Denver actually has two Auntie locations inside. I learned two weeks ago when redeeming a free birthday pretzel their scanner is broken (and still broken) so it’s just show the QR code to the cashier at each location.
I’ve been cashing in!

Redeemed my reward today for an unbelievably greasy and salty Original Pretzel.
App redemptions are charged sales tax and a convenience fee. Redeeming via QR code scan at the register is not.

I received an email from Auntie Anne’s about this today. Coupon now shows in the app too. “Valid 4/26/23”.

Just installed and created an account. I’m guessing the reward takes a day or two to populate into the account?

In previous years, it was just that you had to have an account registered before the deadline, and then the reward would be added to your account on Pretzel Day.

So since Pretzel Day is the 26th, I would guess that the reward will be added in then.

I wake up every morning in a bed that’s too small, drive my daughter to a school that’s too expensive, and then I go to a job for which I get paid too little, But on Pretzel Day? Well, I like Pretzel Day.

I’m gonna randomly select 3 names and these 3 people will get liposuction.
Uh, Stanley, Phyllis, Kevin.
And you will be responsible for your own medical bills.

I just DLed the AA app and all I see is “Free Original Pretzel with purchase of Mini Pretzel Dogs & a Drink” and $2 back on first app order of $12 or more. I’m guessing the coupon won’t go live until 4/26.

Wow, William was a lot more laid back in 2017. I wonder where that William is now.

Works now. I had 2 offers for a free pretzel expiring 4/30 the weird thing is when you click one offer you get 3 steps. First had a barcode for cashier to scan, she did it rang up free and transaction was done. I clicked Next for the heck of it and step 2 displayed another barcode, a different barcode for the same promo. I didn’t try it as I only wanted 1 pretzel but it sure looks like it would have given a 2nd pretzel! Step 3 was a thank you message. After you click next you CAN’T go back fyi. So it appears they pushed out 2 offers and each offer might have 2 pretzel barcodes for a total of 4 free original or cinnamon sugar pretzels in case anyone is interested! (And their Twitter says they’re going to put another free pretzel offer out next week to make up for this week’s IT glitch fyi.)

this is old news by now, but i just stumbled across this inaccurate comment and I just had to say something in case people get confused since theres another award expiring May 7. which is this sunday for a 2nd award after the 1st IT glitch.

So, NO. it is not 2 offers in the 3 step process. auntie runs on DOS and predates MSFT or AAPL.

meaning they cant figure their shit out so the only way they can verify the coupon is used and the coupon is removed and the appropriate points awarded if you actually used USD to make a purchase is to keep scanning barcode after barcode for the system to execute complex math. its not some random barcode for you to double dip and get 2 pretzels. that is why i hate the AA app. its pathetic.

anyway, you only have one offer. but for things to work right, you need to keep scanning. if you dont scan all the codes in one transaction the cashier is not trained and you will not get points for certain shit if you bought anything.

FYI. you can go back. u just swipe. no clue what you are talking about unless you are an apple user. in that case, there is a glitch where swiping doesnt get you back but you just keep clicking next and exit out. your code isnt used so its still there.

ROFL! I used iOS since you seem so concerned. And I passed along exactly what I saw in the app, no inaccuracies. I was simply speculating you might be able to get more than one. And I DEFINITELY had 2 separate offers of a couple barcodes each. As you said, seriously screwed up IT.
