- Korean Air, JAL, and Asia Miles Now Searchable in Award Maximizer by Travel Codex. Honestly this tool keeps on getting better and better, it’s probably the tool I am most excited about in 2016 and is already making my life so much easier.
- Sirius XM Retention Strategy & Tips: How I Saved 67% Off by Miles to Memories. Calling retention is basically worth doing for anything you have a monthly bill for, some things aren’t flexible (e.g Netflix/Spotify etc) but you can get big savings with other companies.
- Value Alliance – A Good Technology News Story by Tagging Miles. I fly LCC more than most people would expect (especially around SE Asia). Being able to book everything from a single website will be awesome, although it’s a real shame that Air Asia isn’t part of this alliance.
- Watch Out Uber/Lyft: Google Just Launched A Ridesharing Service by Point Me To The Plane. More of a carpooling app from the looks of it. I’m a big fan of carpooling, anything that can reduce the number of cars on the road is only a good thing from my perspective.
- New Acorns Rewards Program: “Found Money” by PFdigest. Frequent Miler is already doing some interesting experiments in the comments, somehow I doubt the level of stacking he is doing will work but let’s see.
- $10 Off $20 Groupon Purchase (Targeted) by Danny Deal Guru. Nice deal for those who get targeted.
- Chase changes overdraft policy: No credit cards for backup funding by Chicago Tribune. Somehow I think this is a move to drive more fees for Chase. Although it’s good news they aren’t charging a $10 fee to move funds from savings to checking anymore (extremely ridiculous fee).
- Another hilariously bad credit card bonus, this time a free chiller bag from Meijer. Thanks to reader Billy.
