- Belarus Announces Visa-Free Entry for 80 Nations Including the USA! by Rapid Travel Chai. I’ve never been to Belarus, but it’s on ‘the list’. Pretty excited for this, but I hope it expands to train travel like RTC mentions.
- Earn Up to 100,000 Gold Points With Your Choice of Bonus Offer by The Gate. Nice Hotel Promo.
- A Hyatt Hotel in Costa Rica Offers All Inclusive Rates by Will Run For Miles. $150 per room is great if there is two of you (and especially if you don’t have access to free breakfast). That being said I’m not a fan of all inclusive properties because that’s not how I like to travel – that being said I can see the appeal for some.
- Book By Cadillac: The New Luxury Car Service Is Like Netflix For Escalades By Conde Nast Traveler. Basically a more expensive and worse version of ZipCar. I’d think that either Uber or a private driver would make more sense for those in NYC.
Thanks for the mention. For the record, I am not a fan of all inclusives either. Usually, its too much bad food and lots of calories. This offer at Papagayo was more of a European Meal plan, and the onsite restaurants are supposed to be good. I thought it might be attractive because food is very expensive in Costa Rica and restaurants are not close by. But, Andaz has said that the deal is not combinable with other offers such as points and cash.
I travel to Costa Rica often and it has become the most expensive country in Las Americas for tourists. One way to economize on eating out is to eat where the locals eat.
Find sodas that sell lunch meals called “casados” which cost about $4 USD. Also ask if they have a “Plato del Dia.” Avoid restaurants that cater to tourists.
Still, I went about two years ago and it was ABSURDLY expensive for a crappy Latin American country.
There’s no date limit on registering for the Carlson promo though, right? So you could conceivably stay through the quarter and then register just before the end for the nights you’ve actually consumed?
The Club Carlson promo information was posted in my blog on January 6, well before it appeared at The Gate and everywhere else. For the record. Thanks.
