Our Verdict
If you have means to unload a Mastercard gift card, your best bet is to buy a $500 card so as to rack up added credit card spend at the grocery. Otherwise, put $150 on it and profit $9 after accounting for the $6 fee.
Bear in mind, not all Safeway stores allow the use of a credit card to purchase a Mastercard gift card.
