The Fine Print
- There is a max of $2,000 in gift cards which staples.com can sell you. This is based on face-value, not on sale price. Apparently, it has to be under $2k, as $2k exactly shows an error.

Our Verdict
Nice discount here. Not too easy to resell either of these at a profit, but this is a nice discount for actual use, stacked with 5x points when paying with Chase INK.
This deal would be good in combination with the recent Amex Offer (no longer available for signup), but reportedly e-gift cards are excluded from the terms. Seems odd, but that’s what the terms said.
Portals don’t seem to work anymore for third-party gift cards on staples.com, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Let us know if you have any success.
