When you’re shopping online, sometimes you’ll add items to your shopping cart but then never purchase those items. Online retailers consider this an ‘abandoned cart’ and will often send you targeted offers to encourage you to finish checking out and purchasing those items.
Reader Jordan asked if we could create a page that shares what websites do and don’t offer these promotions and what promotions to expect. As always, please make sure you add your datapoints in the comments below – the only way these are useful is if everybody contributes.

Please share any datapoints you have, please try to include things such as when you received the offer (not necessary if it was around the date of your comment), what you had in the cart, what the offer was and if they offered more than one thing. Hopefully this doesn’t confuse people with the shopping cart trick.
Big thanks goes to Jordan for suggesting this post.
