The Offer
Walmart announced last week the closing of 154 stores in the USA, 269 worldwide.

- As part of the liquidation, these stores are offering 25% everything in the store.
- One report indicates that the discount goes up to 50% starting Friday.
What Works?
- Groceries, cleaning supplies, makeup, vitamins, over the counter drugs are all reported as working with the discount.
- Alcohol, guns, ammo, and pharmacy is said not to work according to an employee.
- Interestingly, a report on Fatwallet indicates that the 25% discount even works on third-party gift cards (wow!), though not on Visa. Probably won’t work on Walmart gift cards either, but it can’t hurt to try.  🙂
Final Thoughts
There may not be a huge selection of iPads, but getting regular stuff at 25% or 50% off Walmart’s regular prices is very good. Stock up now if you have one in the area.
