Our Verdict
These gas gift card deals from SVM keep coming. Pretty low on risk as a resale opportunity. And many of us will just purchase it to use for gas at BP (or even at Arco).
It’s unlikely that we’ll be getting a bonus eBay bucks offer before this deal expires, but there is a small possibility.
Currently, you can resell these for ~90% of their value, so you’ll break-even on the sale and profit the credit card points (no 5x here) and the Bucks and portal. Shopathome is offering 2%; you can use them or use Topcashback and get the higher rate matched.
If we’ll assume you get 2% back from the credit card:
- Pay $270 for 3 $100 gift cards
- Sell for $270
- $5.40 from credit card
- $5.40 from portal
- $5.40 eBay Bucks
- Total Profit: $16.20
Of course, you’ll do much better if you have eBay gift cards which were purchased at a discount.
