A reader was transiting through PHX and noticed in the American App the following lounge:
I assume this is some sort of temporary replacement for The Club PHX. Has anybody been to this temporary lounge? Update: Menu here.

Only available until 3pm unless on the Condor flight. Sign in front says as much and was turned away just now.
What?! I thought that’s the old arrangement The Club had with BA?! Is this for real — are they switching all of this back and forth all the time?!
It’s a legit sign on the wall outside the lounge, not some piece of paper on a podium, so I assume it’s as permanent as the temporary lounge.
I posted a photo of this on my Instagram page on Monday.
I posted this on my instagram page on Monday. The Club PHX lounge will become a Centurion Lounge this fall.
I went there this weekend. It’s better than paying $12 for a Big Mac and fries but definitely the least desirable of the lounges. I can confirm as well, Priority Pass does not work anymore for it BUT AMEX Plat members do count.
I’ve been to it last week. I found this lounge in Priority Pass app, but it stated that PP is not accepted. Amex app didn’t show it at the time. We headed there to see what’s up. They asked for amex platinum and let us in.
yeah, no PP access but available to Platinum cardholders.
Weird set up now: the old “Club at PHX” is, officially, a Temporary Lounge operated by AMEX. You need an AMEX platinum card to get in (2 guests are allowed). They were turning away Priority Pass holders this morning. It will become a Centurion Lounge and Escape Lounge in the Fall (we’ll see about that timing!). The current offerings are meager — and strange. In the morning, I had to order a bagel, scone and coffee from an attendant with a menu (no real hot food). It took 10 minutes to get the food. They did have a handful of snacks you could grab yourself. So obviously not a great experience at the moment, but better than nothing.
I’m connecting on AA through PHX in a few days. I don’t have an Admirals Club card, but I do have an AMEX Plat card and a Priority Pass card. What’s my best (only?) option? Thanks!
That is where The Club is. I’m guessing they’ve opened it up to Amex Platinum but probably still aren’t accepting PP.
Hey Doc, can finally contribute something. It is a replacement lounge until November 1st and will then be converted to an escape lounge. Receptionist informed me that platinum cardholders will be eligible to enter when converted.
Thanks for the info!
Interesting … staff told us last week it would become a Centurion lounge. Either way … it’s a lounge.
It will be half centurion, half escape lounge.
what’s the diff between the centurion & escape lounge? amex plat card will give access to both, right?
Correct, I think escape also sells day passes
There will be a Centurion and an Escape lounge. They will share an entrance but have their own facilities separate from each other. Platinum Card members will be able to access both. Not sure about whether or not PP will have them added to their participating lounges.
