I may be wrong, but 99% sure those are the folks who were giving away a free stock trading program like 10 years ago. Based on some commentary on an old deals site I was on, took them as moderately reputable. And free is free, and Im smart enough to know I always have more to learn.
Quit 15 minutes into the first online session. One, it was supposedly live, but was very clearly a recording, with lots of faux live chatter attempting to sell it as such. Two, I wish I had written the exact phrasing down, but it the info presented in that time felt scummy as hell, like one of those no money down infomercials with a slightly different topic, clearly building to a long, elaborate pitch for their 100% successful, can’t fail stock picking system for 5 easy installments of….you get the idea.
I proceeded to receive mountains of phone calls, emails and snail mail from them, for several years, including after I had unsubscribed, blocked, etc.
Anything to do with them should be a hard pass, imho. It’s been a while, maybe they’ve changed, but I certainly wouldn’t bet on it.
