[Expired] Citi Shop Day (August 5-6) – Earn 20x On Select Merchants

Deal has ended, view more Citi Shop day deals by clicking here

Citi is launching something called Citi Shop Day that will run August 5, 12:00 a.m. – August 6, 11:59 p.m. ET. Citi says you will earn 20x points on select merchants. This requires installing the Citi shop browser extension, so it means you won’t be able to stack with other portals.

To clarify, you earn 20x the normal earn. Be sure to check the exact rate. Readers mention getting 31% on Lowe’s, 15% on Best Buy, 39% on Ulta and Macy’s and Stubhub, etc.

just a data point. Macys order. It was split into two shipments. Three days to get an email for “savings on the way”, that had the amount for the first split. Another full day (four days) to get a second email that had an updated total amount for the full order.

it took 3 days for Macy’s order to track (39% cb). There was no email in the style of TC after the transaction.

Not sure why people didn’t go for this more. Of course there’s the chance that a purchase doesn’t track, but 30-40% off at Lowes, LL Bean, Sephora, Ulta etc., with no limit, is a crazy deal that we probably won’t see again for some time. People were buying like 10 sets of tickets on Stubhub and getting close to $500 back on their purchases. Wild.

there was cash back to be made, a lot. Let’s see if it all pays out and pays out before 180 days.

Did the 39% back on Macy’s: Order 8/5, Shipped 8/6, Credits Pending: 8/7. I didn’t see a limit of cashback and mine is showing $115.05 back for a Coach product purchase, amazing deal if it posts!

Glad I saw this post. Was able to make Macys purchase (39% back) and had a Chase offer of 10% back. Pretty big savings

Will see if this tracks as I wasn’t able to find where to check the status

Made purchase at sephora yesterday using my iPhone. I waited this morning but didn’t get any email. So I tried again on my laptop at Ulta. Ulta tracked in 5 hours with an email from the Citi. The Citi email for sephora strangely came in same time as Ulta. I ordered the same item so probably will need to return one.

Ulta is 39% back, but there’s also a 7% Amex offer making it 46%. (Amex offer has a $7 max back)

Just bought sets of tickets for 6 Washington Capitals games from StubHub. We will see how this goes. 39% Citi cashback + 5% back with the Freedom quarterly Live Entertainment category would be a nice stack.

Update, got an email that nearly $700 of credit statement is pending, so seemed to work on every order!

Do you think generators qualify at Lowe’s? I didn’t see any exclusions.

Outdoor Living earns 31.2% and in the Shop All drop down list, generators are shown in the Outdoor Living & Patio category. I’m taking my chances on a gas grill.
