Grok seems significantly better. seems about as useful as Lycos is to Google.

Really cool that they let you cancel your subscription and keep the trial active until the year is up. Great to not have to remember to cancel

Most of them do this way – except Apple. Any other ones that cancel immediately if you cancel the trial?

I signed up with a $1 prepaid debit card I got for a rebate. You can cancel your subscription and keep using it until the year it up.

Don’t bother with opening a new PayPal account:
“Your PayPal account is not eligible due to account age requirements.”

Your wife’s account doesn’t have age restrictions, but yours does. O.o

I was able to sign up using a different email address than the email address associated with the linked PayPal account. Apparently, I had signed up for Perplexity using the PayPal email address, which declined the free offer.

Got main account shutdown by paypal years ago and wouldn’t work for me.

Worked with the secondary paypal account and the same perplexity email as the shutdown account.

Giving AI access to my pay pal ? Ummm… hard pass. This AI bubble needs to pop already.

They don’t get access to your paypal account or anymore information any retailer would get when you make an online purchase. I have a paypal account with no bank connected to it, just use privacy.com cards that I close immediately afterward.

Saying it like that is like saying “giving my credit card number to The Internet, umm… hard pass” if there was a deal on e-commerce site XYZ. You’re not giving AI access to your PayPal, but using PayPal to “pay” for a subscription to AI

I keep getting this error when trying to redeem in the PayPal app “we’re sorry. Something seems to have gone wrong. Let’s try that again.”
