Just saw Synovus is merging with Pinnacle Financial in a 8.6b deal. Synovus stock down 2% AH (hit 9%) Pinnacle’s down 2.6% (hit 5%)
I imagine its already listed somewhere and google is just being unhelpful, but as I was logging in I saw a Chase checking sign up offer for $400 for $1000 in direct deposits. Seems higher than standard?
Not as good as the checking + savings offer, but if someone won’t have 15k sitting around could be worthwhile. I might or might not be able to scrape together that amount in a month or two.
Does anyone have experience with Bank of America asking you to mail in tax returns/SSA forms within 30 days in response to a credit card application. I received the letter pretty late (yesterday) and have a week for the response to reach them. They may pull credit again if the response reaches them after 30 days which I really don’t want since they’ve already pulled credit once. The letter they sent has no number to fax/email the documents as well. Any ideas on how best to handle this?
Is it a business or personal credit card? Have you tried to give them a call about it?

Doc now has little video ads in the corner?
Adblocker, never see anything.
I support DoC to maintain their site and pay for it. The positioning bottom left on mobile does interfere with reading comments though, but I don’t know if there’s really a better position (maybe bottom right?)
FWIW on desktop they *are* on bottom right which is better for reading comments.
showing bottom right for me too. Definitely the best place.
We have moved ad providers, it should be less obtrusive ads overall but I think they are running some tests to get things moving. I could probably ask for the positioning to be bottom right instead on mobile
Thanks! If you think it is reasonable bottom right on mobile would work better I think. But again I appreciate your site so no worries if it is not feasible – I’ll manage…
Everything is possible! That being said if the ads ever become too much you can always use an ad blocker
Got it, thanks, will do if so!
I also now get an ad banner at the bottom of my browser that I can’t close.
Yeah we are trying a new ad provider, should be less ads overall. Will play with the ad mix
did you forget to add this deal to the Best Credit Card Sign Up Bonuses Page ? : Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard – 80,000 Miles
Is there a discussion about the CIT self-directed investment bonus (up to $750 on $250k deposit)?
I posted it here a few weeks ago, got no response. Probably not juicy enough. But I am going to try it next month.
What kind of fees are you talking about?
All brokerages have fees, but you should be able to avoid most of them.
