Our Verdict
Best pricing is the 250,000 total miles for $4,554.77, this works out to be 1.82¢ per mile. Recent deals have been for 1.78¢ or 1.8¢ but earlier this year we saw 1.5¢. Even at 1.5¢ these aren’t a good buy in my opinion. Once travel starts to stabilize I wouldn’t be surprised to see airline loyalty programs begin to aggressively devalue rewards programs again and when it comes to that nobody does it better than American Airlines.
