Our Verdict
Better than paying for it I guess.
I’ll enjoy it for a year. Why not?
As someone who uses Uber all the time I can say with full confidence that Uber One is useless. Before I subscribed Uber would constantly send me promos like 25–40% off. After I joined the best I get is 10% and sometimes it’s as low as 5%. So it’s up to everyone to decide for themselves, but for me Uber One actually got worse.
I think Uber One gives credits back on rides, where regular Uber doesn’t. I expense a lot of rides and have found this to be useful on pickup meals later on. I agree the promos are awful.
Yes, I get credits for all my rides to use on future rides and Uber Eats.
When you say uber in this context do you mean uber eats? I haven’t heard of 25-50% rides… though I do get flash promos in app sometimes
Uber does flash promos too. I use it very infrequently and almost always have 30-50% promo sitting in the app when I check.
anyone know if authorized user qualifies for this as well?
it would be great, if they just give $10 monthly credit to use for Uber/Eats
The Uber One membership will give you discounted fees on uber eats. If you just use it a couple of times, I’m sure you would see $10 in value from this benefit.
Since Uber overprices everything…… this isn’t a real benefit.
Looks like you can sign up by June 2026 and get 12 months into 2027, if I read the terms right.
Nice to see a benefit that actually complements another Amex card’s credit instead of duplicates.
only if you keep the card during that period
i’m planning on cancelling in the next 12 months
I already have a Platinum and Gold card as payment methods for my Uber account. If I add my Delta Reserve card as a payment method how do I make sure Uber charges my Reserve card, and not my Platinum or Gold card, the $9.99 fee for Uber One.
There’s a separate section for UberOne billing. Account -> UberOne -> Scroll down and click Manage Membership. Then you can select the payment method for UberOne membership billing.
When you sign up, it asks you which card to charge the subscription.
The offer landing page indicated 12 months but, after logging in, the next page said 4 months. We shall see.
I think you can select payment even after the ride: Go to “Help” within the app, select the specific ride, and then choose “Help with a trip” followed by “Other Payment support.”
What if you already have an annual subscription, any suggestions?
You can sign up for up to a year from now, so wait until it expires.
