Our Verdict
You can also get $10 back when you spend $200 on these gift cards with this public American Express offer. Shopping portals (Topcashback & Simply Best Coupons) are offering 1.5% cash back as well on denominations under $200, but the coupon code isn’t listed there so it might not work. If it does work, you’d be making $9.05 profit per card (plus credit card rewards), if it doesn’t you’d make a straight $6.05.
This is a good deal since shipping is what usually kills your profit margins on American Express gift cards—the purchase fee of $3.95 is a 0.79% fee on a $500 gift card and a 0.13% fee on a $3000 gift card. The main problem is unloading American Express gift cards.
