Last week, Chuck wrote about the last chance for the $500 SimplyCash bonus that’s been available through affiliate channels. It looks like that affiliate offer has been replaced by a $400 bonus broken down the same way ($200 for $5,000 in spend in the first 6 months; $200 for $10,000 in spend in the first 12 months). It’s being peddled by affiliate channels, but it should also be available in a couple of other ways:
- Googling “SimplyCash $400 bonus” without ads blocked (or another query that would bring up the ad). Click on the ad and you’ll have the offer up.
- Heading to the direct link for the offer (not an affiliate link since we do not use affiliate links; it’s a link to the ad’s landing page).
- Searching for the Blue for Business offer, clicking that ad, and either seeing the special offer or going to all business cards.
- Going to the direct link to the Blue for Business offer (not an affiliate link since we do not use affiliate links; it’s a link to the ad’s landing page), scrolling all the way down, and selecting the SimplyCash.
You can view a full review of the offer as written up by Will here. Please read that post or Chuck’s post if you have any questions.
Perhaps this is a stupid question but do you actually have to be a business owner for this? Can I get by with a SSN instead of EIN?
yes
no
yes/no…
wtf?
i mean,
kindly elaborate on your reasoning. SIR.
use your SS and apply as a sole proprietorship under business type. I usually put about 40k as income, never had follow up questions from any bank.
YO DO NOT LIE ABOUT THIS. IT IS FRAUD, the fbi blackmailed my friend. DO NOT GIVE them anything on you.
calm down and squash the blunt its making you paranoid. if they investigating you to begin with, theyll find something juicier on you.

actually , chuck, willie and siri, you guys might want to call attention to this. plenty of people seriously overestimate their “income”, but i can guarantee you they do not realize the actual severity of fraud they are committing. dont give in to this bully “paranoid” calling, it is bullshit and very real. You shouldnt break the law for a few dollars, for your OWN sake.
For anyone who reads this: do not lie about your income. For one thing, it is credit card fraud. For two, there’s one thing AmEx really cares about during an FR and that’s whether you wildly lied about your income. So don’t do it.
chuck or willie or siri do you guys have a linky to a guide to getting a business card for regular muggles with a “business”? (like lemonade etsy and ebay stands ya know)
also do you guys ever talk about the real business cards? the company i work for has this kind, its like called amex corporate cards or something, theyre higher than business cards andnot easy to obtain

Thanks!
Yes you can. You can run a business as sole proprietor and report your income on Schedule C of your individual 1040 tax return.
Actually, no googling required! google ads brought it right up as I was reading this post.
