American Express has sent out an e-mail to previous Global Pay users that the service will be discontinued on April 11, 2026. Full text of e-mail as follows:
We are discontinuing American Express Global Pay. On April 11th, 2026, we will close your American Express Global Pay account. We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Global Pay is a foreign exchange payments portal that allows you to earn Membership Rewards. Normally the fees would dwarf the rewards earned but sometimes they offered targeted bonus.
