When this news hit Apple sites a week earlier, it said that they would be extending people’s trials “in the coming weeks.” Mine still expires at the end of Feb, but I’ll give it a few more weeks to see if it gets bumped to July.

Mine has not been extended. It was extended once an extra month to February 2021 must be a case by case basis

William Charles Charles I have heard they are giving a $5 credit if you have Apple one and an existing Apple TV plus trial. Just something to keep in mind before canceling for others.

Awesome. Was going to cancel after my free trial was up in March but good until July 15. I have enjoyed some of their shows, Morning Show was great, but there just isn’t enough content to justify another streaming service at $5/mo.

Still showing a February bill date for me but I guess I’ll check again since cancelling the trial immediately ends your Apple+ access. I’ve never watched any of the Apple+ content though so my top priority is not to get billed.

I never used my Apple TV+ subscription because I don’t want to buy an Apple TV just to watch Apple TV+ on my TV.

You don’t have to have a Apple TV. You can download the Apple TV app on pretty much any streaming device.

There is an Apple TV app for Roku and Amazon fire. A chromecast app is on the way.

But if your Tv allows airplay you can cast using that as well.

You really should check out Ted Lasso.

Yeah there’s a common misconception that you need an Apple TV to watch Apple TV+, but there’s a bunch of official apps for non-Apple devices out. My Samsung TV also has an app.

A lot of shows that were planned to premiere last year got delayed until this year or even later. I think this is Apple trying to make up for that.

I got 1 year of Apple TV with my new phone, and I will tell you, IMO even for free that service is expensive.
