Our Verdict
We’ve known about this card launching for some time, if you signed up for the 500 free miles last year you can also get another 5,000 free miles by applying through a link they will send you. Overall I don’t think this card is a keeper for most people due to the high annual fee, but could be attractive for the initial sign up bonus. The other Alaska cards also have a 80,000 point bonus currently as well. We will add this to our best credit card bonus page. Read these things everybody should know about Bank of America before applying.
Instant Approval.
Checking account few years
Currently :
Both Alaska Legacy Card, Personal and Business and BOA Premium Elite.
lol/24
High 700’s.
4/24 Approved immediately. Applied for $500 Checking bonus right before also approved. Have the Alaska Business Card and two personal cards.
denied at first called inapproved for $10k then went into pending status after i called to expedite the card to me, said I need to verify income, told them I would stop spending money on domestic hookers and instead spend on foreign hookers to earn the 3 X bonus foreign spend
Applied on 8/20 and was instantly declined. I called this morning (the number in Darin’s comment – 877-261-3664). Was told they really want to approve me but there was a fraud alert that needed cleared. She transferred me to the fraud team, I answered some questions, and by this afternoon I had been approved! Odd to get a denial for a fraud hold but alls well that ends well I guess
Just to confirm, the new Atmos points can be immediately combined with preexisting Alaska and Hawaiian points? Thank you.
Applied via email invite. Denied. Called 877-261-3664 a few hours later and had to answer two questions, verify occupation and annual income. Was approved with $24k limit.
might want to add the annual fee bullet in the details
$395
We still don’t have the technology to provide digital cards on application approval? Good fucking grief.
Went pending yesterday in my application yesterday… Anyone have any success simply waiting it out or calling recon? Or is all hope lost?!?! Why don’t they want my $395?!?!
I had my application pending. Called 888-230-6262, got transferred to their credit card department. They checked something on their end (I guess there was a credit alert or something) and approved the $22k credit limit. Right away, I asked to expedite the shipping. They said I’d receive one card in 1-3 business days and another one (that I will shred) in 7-10 business days.
I applied for the Alaska Ascent. The stated reason that they denied me is that I have been recently denied a credit line increase with Bank of America. Like, WTF? Wasted an Experian pull for nothing.
I thought the cobranded would be easier to get approved for. I used to have as many 6 BofA cards, closed one and one got transferred to Comenity. Even with closing some cards, they seem to refuse to give me more.
I have one Premium Rewards and three CCR’s.
Last new BofA card was like 5 years ago.
