Bilt launched Bilt 2.0 on 1/14/26 with three new cards that all earned Bilt cash (and added a new rent option in response to the negative reception). Unfortunately they didn’t release what Bilt cash could actually be redeemed for. This has now been unveiled and like all things Bilt recently it’s needlessly complicated. Starting February 1, 2026 you can redeem Bilt cash for over $4,500 in ‘value’ but it’s limited.

Our Verdict
Is there real value here? Yes. Is it confusing? Also yes. I know that credit cards are moving towards these type of coupon book strategies, I assume it’s because the breakage and discounted rates they are able to negotiate are fantastic but Bilt is really taking it to the next level here. I honestly find a lot of the caps to be too small to really use, especially when it’s not really a straight credit like other cards (you have to first earn the Bilt cash) and the fact they are tiered based on status. Most interesting option would be the points boost (e.g upgrading from a 75% to 100% transfer bonus) although that will largely depend on any caps and transfer bonuses offered.
It could just be my ADHD brain talking but I’m a little bit overwhelmed right now.
