Tried joining OOS with Chex frozen using the Member Fitness Association ($8). Asked to unfreeze Chex. Rejected within minutes. Chex is probably 75-100/12

OOS. I’ve been asked to lift the Chex as well. Not sure if I am ready for that considering the reward amount. Initial funding went through though. Hope it will be refunded.

If you’re LOL Chex like me, don’t bother. Worth a shot otherwise.

Is there a promo code? The offer page doesnt mention it, but it is asked (though optional) during application

Doesn’t appear to be one

They recently had a much better $400 promotion in exchange of just three $500 DDs, but it seems to have expired in August 2024:

Also targeted Checking Offer: Offer is limited to individuals who received the offer directly from Pacific Service Credit Union.

Correct. You can also find older $50 referrals online, instead of the current $25. All considered, I’ll wait for better offers on this one.

Guessing the “Our Verdict” section did not get updated because it seems 100% contradictory to the offer. Does require a DD, and doesn’t require $25K?  William Charles

Yes, I believe up to $1,000.00 but I might be wrong, (not about the credit card part, but rather the amount, I think it was $1,000.00 though). I just went with the “mail in a check” option because I was anticipating the Chex denial.

Pacific Service CU here. Relationship checking is free with NO balance requirement as long as you have direct deposit. Which is how you qualify for the incentive. Take a look at the offer on our website for accurate details.

Any chance that you can double the bonus offer amount to make it more enticing for me to sign up?

Hello, Pacific Service CU, is this nationwide if a member of FFA? Does it pull chex?

Offer is back. I saw their booth at the San Francisco Giants FanFest over the weekend and applied. They had an additional $50 as a signup bonus then. I was approved as a member of the Financial Fitness Association. The $50 was waiting for me once I could log in. https://www.pacificservice.org/bank/checking-accounts  William Charles  Chuck

We want to give you $100! Simply open a new checking account and establish a new direct deposit of $500 or more, and we’ll give you $100. It’s that easy!

There is also a $25 referral program that can stack.

Chex? HP? Which checking accounts qualify? Can you fund with a CC? They seem to insinuate the free checking is “Perfect for: People who don’t have direct deposit.” If that’s the case, the next step up in accounts, you have to have at least $25,000 or you get hit with a $10 fee each month. It looks like you’ll get the $ the following month, so at least a $10 hit?

Yes I believe Chex has been pulled, but not sensitive “in branch” at least. No hard pull on Experian or Transunion, can’t tell regarding Equifax. No funding for a credit card “in branch.” The free checking has no fees.

No fees, but it seems like the free checking is not for direct deposit based on their table….

Davis
Davis (@guest_2022799)

You can direct deposit to any checking account. They say that the other checking account is “perfect” for direct deposit since you can get a higher rate for doing that while you wouldn’t get any rate increase for doing that in the free checking account.
