The Offer
- CommunityAmerica is offering a checking bonus of up to $400 when you open a new checking account with promo code SPRING26 and enable eStatements. Bonus you receive depends on the amount of direct deposits received (must receive two or more):
- Earn a $150 Bonus with total direct deposits of $2,000 – $4,999.
- Earn a $250 Bonus with total direct deposits of $5,000 – $9,999.
- Earn a $400 Bonus with total direct deposits of $10,000 or more.
The Fine Print
- Offer is limited to individuals who have not owned a CommunityAmerica personal checking account within the past twelve (12) months.
- Offer is limited to individuals who reside in the following Designated Market Areas (DMA): Kansas City, MO-KS; St. Louis MO-IL.
- To receive a credit for a new checking account, you must meet CommunityAmerica Credit Union membership eligibility requirements and (1) reside in one of the eligible DMA’s listed above; (2) Open a new Cashback Free Checking or Chiefs Checking account, which is subject to credit approval, between 3/23/2026 – 6/30/2026; (3) enter promo code SPRING26; (4) within 90 days of account opening (“Deposit Period”), enroll in electronic statements (eStatements); and (5) complete two or more direct deposits that total at least $2,000 into the new Cashback Free Checking or Chiefs Checking account.
- Members are eligible for the following incentive amounts based on the total value of their direct deposits during the Deposit Period:
Total direct deposits of $2,000 to $4,999.99: Eligible for a $150 incentive.
Total direct deposits of $5,000 to $9,999.99: Eligible for a $250 incentive.
Total direct deposits of $10,000 or more: Eligible for a $400 incentive. - The direct deposits must be electronic deposits of your paycheck, pension or government benefits from your employer or the government. Person to person payments (such as Zelle) or Micro-deposits (typically less than $1) do not qualify as direct deposits. After the Deposit Period ends, if all qualification requirements have been met, the applicable incentive will be deposited into the primary account owner’s membership savings account within thirty (30) days.
- The account must be open and in good standing at the time of payout to qualify for the credit.
- Examples of ineligible accounts may include: delinquent accounts, accounts that have caused the credit union to experience a loss, accounts in which we suspect illegal activity, fraud, scam or financial exploitation, or accounts involved in legal or administrative proceedings.
- Limit one checking bonus per account.

Our Verdict
Most recent bonus was for $300. That only required $2,500 in direct deposits. Previous location restricted bonus was for $400 but required a savings account as well. Direct deposit bonus on this bonus is annoyingly high but still achievable for many readers.
